P M W Electric changed to a Reliable Pricing schedule in order to allow customers to make more informed choices when choosing electrical repairs, replacements and installations.

In the past when customers wanted repairs or additional items they were billed on a T&M  (Time and Material) basis plus parts and tax if applicable. This practice did not allow customers to decide if an item was really worth the eventual cost.

With Reliable Pricing we have eliminated the unknown price at the end of the job. Some items will still required diagnostic time which is billed in ¼ Hr. increments (This rate is for minor material and labor) and then any repairs can be priced and approved prior to anything happening.

However, most items are priced upfront and you the customer can decide if a particular item should be done now, in the future or if it is ever done.

In some cases partial diagnosis and repair are required to find a problem.. The customer is given the option of additional diagnosis time that would be added to the bill and then the customer could decide on the final repair.

The following are the Top reasons for Flat Rate Pricing

1. The Customer receives *Total price for repair or installation Before work starts.
2. The Customer can decide Not to do Part or All of the items Before work starts.
3. The Customer is not surprised with the bill at the end of the job.
4. The Customer can budget for future items.

Code Compliance and laundry list type work can create some problems that are not as easy to deal with. In many cases the customer will need to approve multiple repairs as they may pertain to multiple areas, overlapping repairs and code rules.

We inform the customer throughout the call about all repairs and the possibility of adding additional items as repairs proceed. These repairs are always done with caution, as there is never a completion until all areas have been checked and repaired.
